German sports car brand, Porsche AG, attended this year’s 2023 International Motor Show (IAA Mobility) in Munich, Germany with many of its finest products as well as an oversized Porsche 911 display stand that spans over an area of around 1,000 square metres.
The huge silhouette of the Porsche 911 (XXL scale) has been a crowd favourite during the first days of the IAA Mobility, which runs until 10 September 2023. The reusable roof construction is an homage to the sports car icon, which made its debut exactly 60 years ago.
“The 911 is famous worldwide for its unique silhouette. This sculpture is first and foremost a symbol representing the many stories and experiences of enthusiasts, fans and customers that have shaped the iconic image of the 911 worldwide,” says Ragnar Schulte, Head of Experiential Marketing at Porsche.
Inside the massive outdoor exhibition space, Porsche displayed a mix of Classic, Concept and modern vehicles, including the 911 S/T, which made its public debut inside the 911 sculpture.
The special 911 S/T model, the latest variant of 911, is limited to just 1,963 units — the number, a reference to the 911’s debut year.
Powering it is a 518-horsepower 4.0-liter flat-six engine, which allows the coupe reach 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph.
The Porsche Mission X has been another crowd favourite at this year’s 2023 International Motor Show in Munich, which runs from 05 September 2023 to 10 September 2023.
