Love Affair With Maria Sharapova Stamped Grigor Dimitrov’s Image on Tour as Was Evident by ‘Jealous’ Journalist’s Question in 2020

Even after breaking up in 2015, in 2020, during the French Open in a press conference, a journalist quizzed the 32-year-old player, and rather than talking about his game, he talked about his communications with his ex-girlfriend, Sharapova.

According to the New York Post, The reporter stated, “An off-topic question that you may accept, I hope. Do you still have contacts with Maria Sharapova? I know that you took different paths, but I was always quite jealous of you.” After hearing this jealous statement, the former world number three-ranked tennis player was amused and gave the best answer possible for the situation.

The way the five-time Grand Slam champion has created a name for herself in the tennis world, Dimitrov’s image on tour was stamped the other way around, giving him remembered as Sharapova’s love interest rather than a player. Not only that, it was also quite evident in how the reporter jumped into a question related to Sharapova rather than talking about the successful game that he won at the French Open.
