“Vote for That Guy”: Nick Sirianni Endorses Britain Covey’s Pro Bowl Claims After Crushing the NY Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles‘ recent 33-25 victory over the New York Giants on Christmas Day marked a turnaround in their season at Lincoln Financial Field. This win not only snapped their three-game losing streak but also solidified their lead in the NFC East. Despite a mixed response from the fans, who voiced their desire for a stronger offensive strategy, Coach Nick Sirianni highlighted the game’s importance in a presser. He also specifically praised Britain Covey for his crucial role in the team’s resurgence. His comments about Covey have been circulating online.

Britain Covey feels Britain Covey is ‘special’

The Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was effusive in his praise for Britain Covey in a post-game press conference. He advocated for his Pro Bowl recognition. The Coach highlighted Covey’s pivotal role, especially after a critical defensive stop, saying, “That first one after the defense gets a big stop and then Britain doing what he did… he’s special.”

Sirianni acknowledged a minor mishap where Covey dropped the ball but remained unwavering in his support. He asked the reporters if people get to vote for the Pro Bowl. He said, “I mean geez vote for that guy like, Who’s a better Return Man than the NFL punt returner in the NFL than Britain Covey?” Sirianni emphasized on his unique contributions and urged, “Philadelphia, get out there and vote for Britain Covey for Pro Bowl.”

He concluded with strong conviction, “I haven’t seen anybody play better than him and return the ball better than him.” Britain Covey’s performance wasn’t the only display that caught everyone’s attention.

Not only this, but Nick Sirianni also praised Jalen Hurts for doing a “really good job”. Hurts’ performance against the Giants was a blend of triumph and challenge. He achieved an impressive 301 passing yards along with completing 24 out of 38 passes.

However, an interception by Adoree Jackson off a pass to Dallas Goedert did result in a touchdown return. Coach Sirianni clearly recognized the need for improvement in the team’s overall strategy. The Eagles’ reliance on Jake Elliott’s field goals and a distinctive ‘tush push’ tactic for a Hurts touchdown showcased their adaptability.
