‘Security Blankie’ Magic Johnson Makes Rare Emotional Confession for Daughter’s Special Day: “Know That Your Father…”

Since retirement, Magic Johnson has taken on many roles. Whether it be a sports owner, media expert, or business mogul, his portfolio continues to expand. Due to the large-scale variety in his investments, his social media activity can usually be a recap of some major milestone or another. As a result, an emotional note from the Los Angeles Lakers legend is a bit of a rare sighting. But, in one of those rare instances, the Point Guard extraordinaire had a heartfelt message in mind for his daughter.

Elisa Johnson, turning 29 on the 21st of December had dad Ervin turning into a gushing father. Taking to Instagram, the all-time greatest Point Guard was unrestrained in his love for his daughter. “Happy birthday to my daughter Elisa!” 

“Watching you blossom into the woman and entrepreneur you are has been a father’s dream. Know that your father loves you and is proud of you!” Then, came the sweet, personal touch from the 3x NBA MVP.

While he occupies many roles on a professional front, there is one in particular that he has to lead in his personal life as well. “ I will always be your security blankie lol!” Along with the note, the 5x NBA Champion would share a joyous picture of the father-daughter sharing a hearty laugh.
