NFL Week 13 DFS: Cheap Targets and Pricey Fades on DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football

Target: Tyler Conklin, New York Jets, $3,000

Tight end Tyler Conklin is one of New York’s ancillary targets who could benefit from the attention that Wilson garners. He hasn’t often been a big part of the game plan, but when he has been, he’s usually produced.

Against the Las Vegas Raiders, for example, Conklin caught all seven of his targets for 70 yards. Last week, he was only targeted five times but caught four passes for 33 yards.

Expect the Jets to get Conklin involved early and often against the Falcons, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to his position.

Fade: Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams, $3,700

While the Browns defense has shown some cracks as of late, it has remained a problem for opposing tight ends. While Denver’s Adam Trautman did catch a touchdown pass last week, that eight-yard grab was the only reception by a Broncos tight end.

Cleveland has allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.

Expect the Los Angeles Rams to attack the Browns with their ground game and with standout receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. That makes Tyler Higbee a very touchdown-dependent DFS option. While he had two TD grabs against Arizona in Week 12, don’t expect him to replicate that red-zone success.
