What else is there to say about Christian McCaffery, who has been a near guarantee to score a touchdown for the 49ers this entire season. CMC has scored an incredible 25 times in his 20 games this year, including four in his two playoff games when the lights have been the brightest.

The 49ers have a strong belief in rushing the ball in when in the redzone, behind a strong offensive line, powerful tight ends and a tremendous full back in Kyle Jusczcyk. CMC is an artist in finding space, therefore he will be the likely first choice in most scoring situations.

George Kittle

Another excellent option for the 49ers is the elite tight end George Kittle. While Kittle is often tasked with run blocking to help CMC score, he is dangerous in the redzone in his own right. While he has only scored six times this season, he often has big games when Kyle Shanahan is given time to be creative. Under the Super Bowl lights it would be surprising if he is not given a few looks.

Another reason why Brock Purdy might look Kittles’ way is the improvement in the Chiefs defence, who caused various problems to the Ravens in the AFC Championship. The Chiefs have special players in both their defensive line and their cornerbacks. Nothing helps a pressured Quarterback out more than a big bodied Tight End to aim at in the endzone.

Travis Kelce

Speaking of Tight Ends the final choice is arguably one of the best to play the game. Far more than Mr Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce is a superstar in his own right and is one of the Chiefs’ best options to score touchdowns.

Kelce has saved his best this season for the playoffs and has scored in both games the Chiefs have played in. He is Patrick Mahomes’ first read and his most trusted ally, therefore it would be shocking if he didn’t get a few opportunities to grab a score.
