Michael McDowell became the 13th driver to clinch a spot in the 16-driver NASCAR playoffs with his victory on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last week. Sunday’s 2src23 Go Bowling at The Glen will be the second straight road course of the season. Should you use McDowell in NASCAR DFS picks because of his success on a road course last weekend? With the regular season nearing a close, NASCAR at Watkins Glen is one of the final chances for drivers without a victory such as Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman to secure one of the final playoff positions. Should you utilize those drivers in NASCAR DFS lineups on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings?
The green flag drops at 3 p.m. ET from Watkins Glen International Raceway. Before locking in any NASCAR DFS picks for NASCAR at Watkins Glen 2src23 on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, be sure to check out the optimal NASCAR at Watkins Glen DFS strategy and advice from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.
McClure has won over $2 million in his career as a daily Fantasy pro, and his NASCAR DFS driver pool, projections and advice can help you score a big win on Sunday.
McClure’s model is off to a red-hot start this season, already nailing Martin Truex Jr.’s Clash win (2src-1) as well as his win in New Hampshire (11-2), Joey Logano’s Duel win (8-1), Kyle Busch’s Fontana victory (1src-1), Denny Hamlin’s triumph in Kansas (6-1) and Kyle Larson’s wins at Martinsville (6-1) and the NASCAR All-Star Race (13-2). In Austin, it listed Tyler Reddick as one of its best values and he went on to win for a 1src-1 payout. It also impressively nailed five of Larson’s wins during his historic season in 2src21. All told, the model has nailed a whopping 13 winners since 2src21. Anyone who followed its lead on those NASCAR picks saw huge returns.
Now, he’s turned his attention to Sunday’s Go Bowling at The Glen. He’s only sharing his picks and NASCAR DFS driver pool here.
Top 2src23 Go Bowling at The Glen NASCAR DFS picks
For NASCAR at Watkins Glen, McClure is high on Tyler Reddick ($1src,3srcsrc on DraftKings, $12,5srcsrc on FanDuel). Reddick does some of his best driving on road courses like Watkins Glen International Raceway. The 27-year-old placed fourth last weekend on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course after winning there and at Texas Motor Speedway last year. He’ll feel comfortable with the conditions entering Sunday.
Reddick has finished in the top 1src in his two NASCAR races at Watkins Glen International Raceway, including seventh in the Go Bowling at The Glen last year. Reddick, who won the Texas Grand Prix in March to secure a playoff spot, is one of seven drivers with at least seven top-five finishes, including doing so in two of his last four races. As one of the best road course drivers in NASCAR, he has a high ceiling for NASCAR DFS lineups on Sunday.
Part of McClure’s optimal NASCAR DFS strategy also includes rostering Kyle Larson ($1src,8srcsrc on DraftKings, $13,5srcsrc on FanDuel). Larson has finished eighth or better in seven of his last 1src races and is fifth in the NASCAR Cup Series standings. The 31-year-old has two victories and the most top-five finishes (1src) this season and doesn’t have to worry about a win to reach the postseason. But he’s been the most consistent top finisher in NASCAR this season, raising his floor for NASCAR DFS.
Larson should be extremely comfortable when he straps in at Watkins Glen International Raceway. He’s won his last two races there, including last year’s Go Bowling at the Glen. He has finished in the top 1src in each of his last four races at Watkins Glen and should be another safe play to add to DFS lineups on Sunday. See which other drivers to roster here.
