Mikel Arteta delivers an update on Thomas Partey’s injury

Arsenal FC manager Mikel Arteta has shed light on the Ghanaian’s injury, providing insight into whether the influential player will make a return to the pitch before the upcoming January break in the Premier League.

The midfielder has been out of action since October. The 30-year-old has not featured for Arsenal since the October International friendly games.

Partey having featured in Ghana’s two games against Mexico and the USA has also missed the Gunners’ games in the league..

Partey suffered a muscle injury during a training session.

Partey was left out of Ghana’s squad for the first qualifier of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Comoros.

“Emile has been already on the pitch doing some jogging, so I don’t know how long it’s going to take,” he told the club’s official website.

“Normally he is a quick healer, and Thomas is the same. We have to make sure that when they come back they are at their best as well.

“We don’t want to rush them, but at the same time the team needs them because at the moment we are missing some key, key players,”

The last time Thomas Partey featured for Arsenal was against Manchester City. Partey has played five games in all competitions this season and is yet to score.
